TipSlots is a tip calculator. It is built so that the things you type into it — your bill, your tax, your tip — never leave your phone.
Nothing. TipSlots has no account, no sign-up, and no login. It does not ask for your name, your email, or your location. It does not have a server.
Every amount you enter is held in memory while the app is open and is gone when you close it. Your settings — your minimum, your maximum, your generosity dial — are stored only on your own device. None of it is transmitted anywhere, and the developer has no way to see any of it.
The app works entirely offline.
The free version of TipSlots shows a banner ad, served by Google AdMob. To deliver ads, measure them, and prevent advertising fraud, Google's software collects:
TipSlots requests non-personalized ads. The app explicitly tells Google not to use personalized advertising data, so ads are not targeted based on a profile of you.
This data is collected by Google, not by TipSlots — the developer never receives it and cannot see it. Google's own privacy policy governs it: policies.google.com/privacy
You can limit ad tracking system-wide in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iPhone.
Buying “Remove Ads” removes this entirely — with no banner to serve, no ad requests are made.
Tips and Remove Ads are handled entirely by Apple's App Store. Payment happens through your Apple Account. TipSlots never sees and never stores your card details, your billing address, or your Apple Account information.
The app stores a single yes/no flag on your device recording whether you own Remove Ads. That flag is local; the authoritative record is Apple's, which is what makes “Restore Purchases” work on a new phone.
TipSlots contains no analytics SDK of its own. There is no session recording and no third-party analytics beyond what Google's advertising software does, described above. The developer receives no report of how often you use the app, or whether you use it at all — only aggregate, anonymous earnings figures from AdMob, which say nothing about any individual person.
TipSlots is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them. It contains no chat, no user-generated content, and no way to contact other people.
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
